The university has indeed changed.
Not long ago, reading college courses would reveal courses in biology, English literature, government, statistics, algebra, economics, marketing and international business.
Nowadays, curriculum load seems to be taking a more political form.
Typical case: University of Pittsburgh Work list.
The ad reads: “Teachers, professors, assistants-full-time.”
Field: Political Science.
As for the types of teachers, UPitt leads the head of social justice:
Assistant Professor-Structural Racism, oppressionAnd black political experience
The school is looking for “people in any subfield of political science or related disciplines whose work involves structural racism, oppression, or black political experience, conceived on a domestic, relative, or global scale.”
“We encourage applications,” it said, “from scholars who study racial oppression and racial inequality and hierarchical issues-in racial and ethnic politics, political behavior, political economy, international and transnational politics, global or domestic institutions (U.S. Or other countries), and any other topics related to our topics (including inequalities in cities, health, education, and technology).”
In society, we seem to have turned a corner-180 degrees.
Until recently, racial harmony was ideal.
Not only that, the United States is still a place of equal opportunity.
Therefore, young people are told that they all have the same chance of success.
Suddenly, if I understand correctly, non-white citizens are told that success cannot belong to them.
At the same time, white Americans were identified as the cause.

If you tell someone they cannot succeed, why should they try?
The University of Pittsburgh definitely has the answer, hopefully not “they won’t.”
Every Recruitment notice, The Department of Political Science will resist oppression three times:
The department intends to recruit three employees in the next few years…coordinating with the race, representation, anti-black, and systemic racist clusters within the Kenneth P. Dietrich Academy of Arts and Sciences. Relevant college racial and social determinants of equity and well-being. The cluster employment and retention program also aims to create and maintain a group of scholars whose research, services, and community involvement are aimed at enhancing knowledge and addressing racial differences in social determinants of equity and well-being .
So it will be a cluster.
Campus reform Define terms:
Cluster recruitment is a group of new employees recruited by an organization that introduces a group of scholars whose work revolves around a specific topic or scholars with other selected characteristics.
Therefore, the Ministry welcome Potential professors’ interests complement existing and new clusters of teachers related to race and inequality and its impact on the black American community; ideal research and teaching interests include but are not limited to: race and ethnic politics, identity, democratic behavior, Activism and collective action, representation, urban or local governance, health and healthcare policies, technological policy or algorithmic bias, environmental justice, ethnic or international conflicts, immigration, post-colonialism/post-imperialism; also encourages towards Africa or Africa Scholars interested in expatriates apply.”
What needs to be clear is that all of the above recruitments require budget approval.
But the established mission is clear: U of P treats school students about their own oppression.
And their depression.
Does this prepare them for success, or is it the opposite?
We may find out in a few years.
Hope this is the first one.
