Review – Moving from an apartment to a house automatically means that I need more air-conditioning to fight the New York summer. Since my house does not have central air conditioning, window air conditioning is another option. But in my child’s room, I prefer to use a portable air conditioner because it is safer because the children are messy around the windows, and I can push it to another room at any time if needed. Enter TaoTronics 3-in-1 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner.

As shown in the figure below, the controls of the device are on the top, and the exhaust hose connection, filter, air inlet and drain are on the back. The remote control is a full-function remote control.
Performance
In addition to connecting the window slider kit and the exhaust hose, you can install and start using this air conditioner without any other operations.
In my case, the adjustable part of the slider kit is too long, and if I install it as it is, it will block the exhaust port. As shown in the picture below, I had to cut off the slider.
The picture below shows the air conditioner when I installed it. The video will let you know the function and sound. It is hardly as loud as the sound from the microphone on the phone. The only thing I don’t like about this AC is that the built-in bracket of the remote control is not well designed, so the remote control often falls out.

Final thoughts
I have owned and reviewed several TaoTronics products, all of which are beautifully designed and perform flawlessly. I can now say the same with this portable AC. It is very well designed and works well. Even in the hot New York summer, I only need to use it at a medium cooling level. It will be too cold in high places. This is just a very good portable AC. IMHO, I once again give TaoTronics a great idea and two thumbs up! !
