SecondThe Australian in Queensland repelled an attack by a large saltwater crocodile with a small belt knife. According to a report from the BBC 9News on Wednesday, the animal suddenly attacked a 60-year-old man who was fishing in a remote area of the McIvor River and grabbed his foot. The man clung to a mangrove branch, but the reptile still managed to pull him toward the water.
Despite the dangerous situation, the Australian managed to pull a knife from his belt and stabbed the crocodile in the head. The animal finally let go of him.
The media praised this man as “the real crocodile Dundee.” He even managed to drive to a nearby hospital and then fly from there to a clinic in Cairns. At first, people didn’t know the extent of his injuries.
The local Ministry of Environment confirmed that the wound was consistent with the man’s information. Crocodiles play in tropical Queensland waters northeast of Down Under.
