I’m a fan of WiFi 5 Devolo Mesh WiFi 2 I have reviewed Devolo Magic 2 WiFi 6. My problem is that theoretically you’ll end up with multiple SSIDs, and depending on the quality of your home wiring, you might not be able to take full advantage of the WiFi 6 speeds on your powerline-connected WiFi plug.
Devolo is now finally making the full mesh system available. Unlike the Devolo Magic 2 WiFi 6, it has a WiFi plug for each outlet, which will replace all WiFi in your home. Therefore, a WiFi plug connected to the router will be able to provide the full benefits of WiFi 6 at a theoretical speed of 1200Mb/s.
At £450 for a three-pack, it’s not a cheap system, but it’s comparable to a tri-band mesh WiFI system such as Netgear RBK753 Currently on sale for £470 on Amazon.
While powerlines may not be the best solution for everyone, the same is true for mesh systems that use wireless backhaul. If you’re having performance issues with a dual-band or tri-band mesh system, I think powerline is well worth considering and easier to implement than running ethernet at home.

The Target Wake Time (TWT) has been significantly optimized compared to traditional networks, and it also efficiently controls wireless communications, allowing devices to enter sleep mode for longer periods of time if they do not currently need to be connected. This more regular and longer pause in wireless communication saves energy and battery capacity.
