The U.S. government negotiated with the Taliban and reached an agreement to allow the use of Hong Kong International Airport for evacuation before the August 31 deadline set by the Taliban for all U.S. troops to withdraw from their country. However, if you follow the day-to-day reports, it’s clear that the person doing the transaction may not have the ability to make the transaction work.
