Last week, the National Education Association held its annual meeting. It is full of the usual nonsense that NEA activists talk about when they get together, but it accomplishes a useful thing for the country. It recognizes that Critical Race Theory (CRT) is not only taught in schools; protecting teachers’ ability to conduct struggle courses through accusations of humiliating and intimidating their youth is a top priority. This is the so-called business item 39:
Under the implementation guidance of the Chairman of the National Energy Administration and the Chairman of the Minority Affairs Core Group, the National Energy Administration will:
A. Share and promote existing information about Critical Race Theory (CRT) through existing channels-what it is and what it is not; provide staff teams for members who want to learn more and fight back against the anti-CRT rhetoric; and with other NEAs Members and their community members share information.
B. Provide an in-depth study that has been created to criticize other forms of power and intersection of empire, white supremacy, anti-black, anti-indigenous, racism, patriarchy, cisheteropatriarchy, capitalism, capabilityism, anthropocentrism, and intersection Oppressing our society, we oppose attempts to prohibit critical racial theories and/or 1619 plan.
C. Publicly (through existing media) expressing its support for accurate and honest teaching of social research topics, including unpleasant aspects of American history (such as slavery, native, black, Brown, and other people of color, and this The continuing impact of history on our current society. The association will further convey that when teaching these topics, the curriculum is based on an academic framework to understand and explain the past impact on today’s society, including critical racial theories, which is reasonable and appropriate.
D. Join the Black Lives Matter at School and the Zinn education program, calling for a rally on October 14 this year (George Freud’s birthday) as a national day of action to teach courses on structural racism and oppression. Then came a day of action to honor and commemorate the lives of Brenna Taylor, Ferrando Castilla and others. The National Education Association shall promote these National Days of Action to all its members, including Nuclear Energy Agency Today.
E. Take a virtual listening journey to introduce members to the tools and resources needed to defend integrity in education, including but not limited to tools such as CRT.
F. Commission President Becky Pringle to issue public statements in all media supporting racial honesty in education, including but not limited to critical racial theories.
The union also approved funding for K-12 courses to “increase CRT implementation” and to attack conservative groups that oppose CRT indoctrination.

Why is this so useful? Because since the debate about the premise of critical racial theory teaching in public schools broke out, the defenders of critical racial theory, the left wing, the sad, pathetic creatures have insisted that a) critics don’t know what CRT is, and b) even if they Indeed, it doesn’t matter, because CRT is only taught at the university level. This is a bit like the legendary Texas lawyer Richard “Horse Racing” Haynes Say you defended a well-known guilty client: “My dog does not bite. Second, or, my dog was tied up that night. Third, I don’t believe you really have a little bit. Fourth, I don’t have a dog. .”
As Rational Robbie Sauve Note that, in a roundabout way, this also marks a real victory for conservatives on this issue. NEA accepted what we have always called CRT, well, CRT.
This Public debate on critical racial theory (CRT) is largely a semantic argument, and anti-CRT factions are trying to put “All kinds of cultural madness“People heard the CRT banner in the media, while the other party protested that it was technically a more limited concept limited to elite education. Progressives are basically correct. The definition of CRT is being tortured to match conservativeness. Dissatisfaction with the party, but it makes sense for conservatives to be dissatisfied with some of these things, so the argument is quite boring.
In other words, the National Education Association (NEA) seems to have accepted the conservative framework of the CRT: that is, it is not limited to academia, but is actually taught in K-12 schools. NEA believes this is a good thing that should be defended.
…
This is no trivial matter, because many progressives base their entire defense of CRT on the idea that CRT is a very narrow aspect of elite law school training. Judd Legum Ideological progress, Once said that the concept of CRT was taught in K-12 schools Is deceptiveIn a protracted and unproductive debate on this topic, MSNBC’s Joy Reid (Joy Reid) defendant Manhattan Institute scholar Christopher Rufo-a leading anti-CRT activist-“create something of your own, paste it an existing name, paste the brand name on it, Then it turned into a successful political strategy.”
When this article went live, something magical happened.
Therefore, shortly after I published this article, the National Education Association removed the web page showing that the organization voted for critical racial theory. https://t.co/34KKCUWIVb

that’s right. If you look for Business Item 39 on the NEA website https://ra.nea.org/business-item/2021-nbi-039/, you will find that this page has been deleted. The copy published in this article is from Wayback Machine.
What is the purpose of deleting projects approved by the National Energy Administration at a conference watched by thousands of people? The obvious answer is that for some on the left, the debate on the definition of CRT is not over yet, and NEA admits that they are pushing CRT to weaken the argument that there is no such problem. Nevertheless, we can learn two equally important lessons from this incident. The first is that CRT is a major focus of NEA activities. As Ron White said, this is a convenient message.
The second thing is that we can expect NEA to change course and begin to lie ruthlessly about their CRT advocacy.
All of this shows that we are fighting a total war for the minds of our children. If we do not fight against it by running for office and passing laws that prohibit racism as a teaching technique, we will lose this country and should do so.
