Review – I had LASIK many years ago. When I did it, the doctor told me that at some point in the future, when I was in my 50s, I needed reading glasses. Well, I am over 50 years old, and I have been wearing reading glasses for several years. Like most people I meet, I now have a few pairs of glasses everywhere in my home and office. One of the reasons I buy so many is that although they have the same prescription strength, after working on my computer for a while, most of them never seem to fit, and sometimes even hurt my eyes. ThinOptics Manhattan blue light blocker glasses seem to be very promising. Let us see how they work.
What is it?
ThinOptics Manhattan Blue Light Blocker glasses are equipped with a yellowish filter to block blue light. They are full-frame readers.
Both styles of reading glasses (Brooklyn and Manhattan) fit the magnetic Milano case with felt lining. They are the thinnest and lightest full-frame reading glasses in the world.

Common problems with blue light blockers
Who needs anti-blue glasses?
“According to the American Optometric Association, yes. The report shows that more than half of Americans report that digital eye fatigue is caused by blue light emitted by mobile phones, computers, or tablets. According to a study by Harvard Medical School, it It is also related to poor sleep, macular degeneration and other serious problems. ThinOptics blue light blocking glasses are equipped with light yellow filters to block blue light.”
Performance
These glasses are very light and thin. They can be safely fitted into a case that is only 4 mm thick. The inside of the case is lined with a velvety feel.

They fit so well, you can almost forget that you are wearing them. They are also very comfortable and it seems difficult to break them.
ThinOptics also provides a reusable adhesive strip that allows you to fix the phone case on the back of the phone. I did not test this because I would not carry my glasses in that way and would never use this feature.
what do I like
- Build quality
- They are light and compact
- Comfortable fit
- How thin are they and how do they fit in a slim case
What will i change
- Attach a lens cleaning cloth to the glasses
- Provide more prescription advantages
Final thoughts
All I can say is that I like ThinOptics Manhattan blue light blocker glasses, and I no longer feel eye fatigue when I sit in front of the computer for a long time. My only wish is that they can provide more power, because my ideal power is +1.75, but I am using these powers to reach +2.0.
