How does the traffic light system work?

• Green Watch List: A country that might become amber
• amber: From July 19th, double-vaccinated British holidaymakers returning from the Amber List countries will no longer need to self-isolate. Those who have not received the dual vaccine must be quarantined for ten days. People who have not been vaccinated must undergo pre-departure testing and PCR testing on the second and eighth days, and can choose to conduct a “test release” on the fifth day to end self-isolation early. People who are vaccinated must undergo pre-arrival testing and the test the day after returning to the country.
• Amber Plus: Regardless of the vaccination status, British travelers must be quarantined for up to 10 days after returning home. They also need to perform a PCR test on or before the second day of arrival, and another test on the eighth day.
