Design and features
It might be unfair to review the affordable Ultenic U11 so soon after this (no Affordable) Dyson V15+, but although I like V15+, U11 (don’t you just like weird names?) has many advantages.
First, it comes in an environmentally friendly box with minimal but easy-to-follow instructions. The design is similar to other wand vacuum cleaners, consisting of a main vacuum body connected to a long wand that can accommodate various accessories. U11 is unique in how it is stored when not in use.
Most stick vacuum cleaners come with a wall-mounted charging stand, which requires some work during installation, resulting in ugly wall decoration.Even so, it Yes Very convenient, just pick up the vac, knowing that it will be fully charged. Ultenic cleverly turns the ugly wall bracket into a bracket that can be placed anywhere near the socket with Move from one room to another. A brief assembly of the bracket is required.
During installation and charging, U11 displays an animated battery icon on its touch screen. This touch-sensitive LED displays the three vacuum modes of U11: quiet, automatic and powerful. Ultenic includes what they call “Ultra Carpet (UC) Boost”-a sensor that adjusts suction according to the type of floor. However, when I vacuumed on tiles and carpets, I didn’t notice any difference in suction power.
Like any stick vacuum cleaner, the U11 should be disassembled and cleaned regularly. This is easy to do and is clearly explained in the manual. Each detachable part can be washed. It is easier to clean than the more expensive Dyson. It is recommended to let the components dry for 24 hours before reinstalling.
Simply press and release the handle trigger to turn on U11. Unlike many vacuum cleaners that need to keep pressing the trigger, U11 will stay on until the trigger is pressed a second time. This reduces the pressure on sensitive hands and fingers, but I prefer to hold the trigger to operate the cleaner.
U11 comes with a basic set of accessories.The main accessory is what Ultenic calls an electric floor broom-a rotating brush for carpets with Hard floor. Compared to any rotating brush, I prefer soft rollers made specifically for hard floors, but in this price range, you can make concessions. The broom can easily rotate around objects on the floor (such as chair legs) and enter hard-to-reach areas, such as under furniture.
Ultenic includes a mini version of the roller called an anti-mite brush. The accessory also has an electric roller, which is very suitable for upholstery, mattresses, cribs, etc. Ultenic says it helps prevent mites. I can’t test this, but I’m sure it won’t be hurt. This brush is very suitable for use as a portable vacuum cleaner in cars.
The standard long flat tip is used to reach narrow places. The round brush head is used to clean the desktop, keyboard, etc. It can be rotated for horizontal and vertical use. However, the brush is a bit too hard for my taste. I prefer to use a softer brush to vacuum delicate electronic products.
Some things become obvious when using U11 to vacuum the floor. It absorbs debris from hard floors very well and can vacuum carpets (despite rolling brushes). The suction power of U11 on the carpet is not as good as Dyson’s power. After vacuuming our living room carpet with U11, I used Dyson to vacuum again, and it filled the trash can with dog hair-U11 didn’t. U11 just doesn’t use that much force-even in the brute force mode.However, Dyson’s cost is a lot of more!
Using U11 on our tiled floors is another matter. Once again, I vacuumed an area with U11, and then Dyson. Here, Dyson only picked up a small part that U11 missed. I attribute this to the U11 roller brush that missed some debris caught by the Dyson soft roller. I am sure that if U11 had a similar soft scroll wheel, it would not miss anything, and Dyson would be empty.
U11 has three LED headlights to illuminate objects in front of the cleaner. These lights will come in handy when vacuuming in low-light areas or under furniture.
Is it fair to compare Ultenic U11 to Dyson? Not true, but it did tell me a lot. Ultenic U11 works well on hard floors, there are carpets everywhere, but if your house is full of carpets, it lacks enough power. For this, you need a more powerful (and more expensive) vacuum cleaner.

Strong enough for hard floors, easy to use, easy to clean, and affordable. For many people, this is enough.
