Review- I have been using a tablet for ten years, starting with the Motorola Xoom in 2011 (oops!), I have been using iPad and Android tablets for many years. What makes me crazy is that after 10 years, the dynamics still haven’t changed much: for the best experience, you should use an iPad, but cheaper tablets are still less than half the price of their high-end competitors while still offering Quite a good experience. I am interested in trying the Vastking Kingpad M10 Android tablet to see how it performs. The overall experience left a deep impression on me, although I will introduce some minor issues in the comments.
What is it?
The Vastking Kingpad M10 Android tablet is a cheap Android tablet with an IPS laminated screen that provides a better viewing experience than most other tablets in this price range. The special package they sent for review also included a keyboard + touchpad shell. There are many variations on the product page, including only a tablet, a protective case with a stand, and other sets including a screen protector.

The tablet packaging box contains Kingpad M10 Android tablet, American 120V wall plug, USB-A to USB-C cable, and instructions.
In a separate box is the “Docking Keyboard Case” and a one-page manual.

Design and features
Starting from the left side of the tablet, we have a USB-C power port, dual SIM and SD card trays, and a power button. The build is aluminum and glass, which feels a step higher than other plastic tablets I have tried in the past.
Rotate a bit and we can see the volume rocker on the top, as well as one of the two speaker cutouts.
In the upper right corner is another top speaker and a headphone jack port.
At the bottom, we can see the keyboard pair contact pins and the bottom speaker port.
The rear camera is standard, which is a bit prominent.
The keyboard and touchpad case is one of the better cases I have used in the budget category. It’s not as exquisite as those made by Apple or Samsung, but it does a good job at the price point. Most 10-inch tablet keyboards are too narrow to allow me to type at full speed. Although this keyboard is still a bit too small for me, it is better than most keyboards of this size I have used. The touchpad is also very good, multi-touch gestures and basic tracking are good. However, I do have a complaint: if you flip the keyboard/touchpad to the back of the tablet to use the tablet directly, they will remain active. Other keyboard/touchpad devices I have used in the past are automatically disabled when turned over, but because of this device, if you only want to interact with the tablet itself, you really don’t have to take the tablet out of the case. Since the case is not magnetic, it is not easy to do this often, so after testing I found that I rarely use the keyboard case.
There is a metal hinge bracket on the back of the keyboard case, which can be folded down, and the tablet can be used at almost any angle. I like it better than single-point or multi-point bracket options. Like most tablet keyboard stands, it doesn’t work well on the lap, but it works well on any flat surface.
The tablet is held in place by these plastic corner pieces, which can hold it in place well.
The end result is a very useful tablet setup that I can use to do anything the Android tablet platform can provide (almost anything nowadays).
Installation and setup
The installation is simple and straightforward. Vastking does not add too much (if any) expansion software or extra steps. The dual-SIM option is interesting, and having a modem that supports 4G networks is usually more expensive than other tablets, so it’s great to see it included here at this price point.
This is the SIM/SD card tray, it requires 2 SIM cards, or a SIM card plus micro-SD (or if you don’t want/don’t need to pay for the tablet mobile internet like me, just an SD card).
After completing the setup steps, the tablet shows that we are using Android 11 (the current version of Android as of the time of release). 4 rams will be displayed in the system information screen, and if you are using them, sim slot information will also be displayed.
Performance
The highlight of the Weiwang Rimula M10 Android tablet is the screen. So far, most of the tablets I have used for less than $500 have been stingy on LCD screen quality to save money, so I was pleasantly surprised by the screen of this tablet. It is not as good as the latest Apple/Samsung screen, but it is very sturdy.
It has a brightness of 300 nits and is suitable for any indoor viewing, even outdoors in the shade (direct sunlight is another matter-but most devices are like this). As an IPS screen, it has bright colors and good viewing angles. The four speakers are arranged in stereo format in landscape mode (they do not change direction in portrait, so you lose stereo). The speakers are very loud at maximum volume, but there is almost no bass, so a good set of earplugs or headphones will be appreciated here.
The interaction with the system and most applications is very smooth, and the performance of the device at this price point is much better than I expected. There is no lag in multitasking, switching between applications, and scrolling. I was surprised when I ran the 3dmark benchmark test above and got quite low results, but I’m pretty sure it just tells us that the GPU is underpowered. I can play all the games I often play, but I did notice that “Civilization V” takes a while to load, and the speed of processing AI rounds is significantly slower than on my other devices.
For a budget tablet, the battery life is fairly average, and I played looped video at 50% brightness in airplane mode for just over 9 hours. I did notice that CPU/GPU intensive things like games consume battery at an alarming rate, so your mileage may vary.
The charging speed is average (from almost no charge to full charge in about 90 minutes), but I want to talk about charging compatibility here. I like that Vastking is equipped with a USB-C charger, which should allow me to charge my tablet at any of the dozen or so USB-C charging stations scattered around my house. However, the tablet refused to charge about half of the people without any explanation (it behaved as if the cable was not plugged in at all). I believe these are mainly fast charging or power transmission charging devices, so the tablet does not seem to support higher charging rates? Other devices I own will still be plugged into these cables and charged, although the charging speed is slower. Regardless of the reason, this is something that needs attention, and maybe they can solve this problem through a software update at some point.
Wifi is average, tablets can connect to 2.4 and 5.0 Ghz bands, and I get usable speeds (200 Mbps at the edge of my home, and my phone and laptop both get about 300 Mbps at the same location). Bluetooth can be used with multiple devices without any problems.

Final thoughts
At this price, the King Kong M10 Android tablet exceeded my expectations. It provides an excellent multimedia consumption platform with an excellent screen and a good productivity/gaming platform. Except for incompatibility with many of my USB-C charging stations, I did not have any other complaints during the review period. If friends and family need a tablet but cannot afford a “premium” brand, I am confident to recommend this device to them.
