Design and Features

The Victor Tech High Rise Mobile Standing Desk is not assembled, so you will need to allow approximately 30 minutes to put it together. It’s also helpful if you have someone else to help you assemble, but it’s not mandatory. The tools came with the table, but I found that I needed a Philips screwdriver with a larger tip for easy assembly. I find it odd that some of the screws/bolts are Philips and some use an Allen key (included).

Here we have the finished desk. As you know, the Victor Tech high rise mobile standing desk is a two-tiered design. The main deck for your laptop, tablet, etc., and then a smaller keyboard deck that’s wide enough to accommodate a full-size keyboard and mouse.

On the right side under the top platform, there is a lever for raising and lowering the table.

The table is mounted on a 4-wheel hydraulic base stand that allows the table top height to reach 29.5 inches when fully folded. 45 inches when fully extended.

I found that I had to add some real down pressure on the top of the table to lower it. I also found it easier to put the table down when it’s been cleaned so you can lean on it.

Like many, I have been working from home since March 2020. My office is in the basement and has a small window so I can’t really see outside. Using the Victor Tech high-rise mobile standing desk, I can move to the main floor, where I can get stunning views of my yard, which is semi-regularly haunted by deer and turkeys.i also have one bird feeder Enjoy bird watching while I do my next review. The good thing is that I can stand instead of sitting all day.

The location of the locking wheels also allows this table to be used while seated, as there is room for your feet to fit under the table. It sits very well in front of the rocking chair you see in the picture below.

In the picture above, I’m standing in front of the table with the table fully raised. I’m 5’6″ and as you can see the desk height is perfect for my typing. According to best ergonomic practice, your arms should be at a 90-degree angle to the keyboard, which is the angle of my arms when using the keyboard deck. This means people taller than me will have less ergonomic settings…

The table is stable, but when I use Logitech MX Keys Mini Keyboard on keyboard platforms.

what do I like

  • easy to assemble
  • Small enough to fit in a corner
  • Good height customization

what would i change

  • Need a desk version that can be taller for taller people

final thoughts

I find the Victor Tech high rise mobile standing desk a great addition to me WFH set up. It allows me to move to different (more scenic) areas of the house and get out of the chair many times during the day. As long as you’re not too tall, I think this standing desk is pretty good.
