Design and features
This Five C2 mobile power flashlights It is a sturdy little beast with a portable light source. Its best use case is in the wild, to provide lighting for your hiking or camping sites or outdoor activities at night, while also providing backup power for your electronic equipment.
Although I did not have the opportunity to take C2 into the woods, I did take it for walks in the city many times, and went to the basement to find old Christmas wrapping paper (I knowledge It’s there) and walk through the dark parking lot after shopping.
I usually carry a small rechargeable flashlight with me, about the size of a tube of lipstick, and it bounces around in my pocket unknowingly. C2 is not the case. It is 5 inches long and is actually one of the larger flashlights I have carried every day for a long time. I admit, I’m really used to (or spoiled) all these miniature LED flashlights that take up almost no personal space…I had to get used to carrying something for several days, even if it was as big as a C2. I’m sure there are many people who often carry bigger lights.
But you know what? After about a week, I really like that the flashlight is as sturdy as the C2. The extra weight (approximately the same as the weight of a roll of nickel coins) is not obvious, but the extra brightness is worth it.
In high power mode (not Turbo), C2 emits about 1200 lumens of light, which is almost an overcorrection for most normal situations. If you are trying to find something in the field or in the woods, you may only need something that bright.
The big rubber button, you can set it to the always-on “W” logo (like this), it’s easy to find in the dark. Click once to set the light to the brightness setting you used last time. But by holding down the button for a few seconds, C2 will power on with the lowest setting.This is excellent. I think this is a fairly standard function, but it is very good to be able to prevent yourself and others from temporarily blinding.
In fact, tap and hold became my default method of turning on the light. In most cases, I only need the minimum setting (5 lumens for 300 hours!) because I try to be cautious when walking and parking lots.it is Evil Seuss (As the children said) I saw some spotlights with more than 1,000 lumens traveling along a section of the car.
There are several “emergency” light functions, such as flashing flashing lights or “SOS” Morse code mode, which requires pressing the quick button twice. Three times to quickly press the glowing “W” on the on and off buttons, and four times to quickly open the button lock, which is also good when cleaning the lights.
In addition to the lighting function, the structure of the Uben C2 flashlight is excellent. There are no rattling or loose parts. It has many ridges and textures, and because of its size, it feels good in your hand. It comes with a very large belt clip, which is actually very difficult to remove, which is a good thing.I have some small lights, and the clips flew away right away. When the lights or clips pass by on the ground, it’s not very good dark.
There is no magnet on the body. Some of my lights have a magnet at the bottom, so you can attach the lights to the car hood or light pole, but not C2. This is fine, I am more worried about strong magnets being close to my watch or wallet.
The last feature is a bit unique and is the built-in USB-A port for charging external devices. The included 21700 battery provides 4800mAh of power, which can charge the iPhone 12 Pro about 1.7 times. When sockets are not an option, in the woods or during power outages, this is just a good feature. Considering that low-power settings are usually sufficient to fully illuminate your surroundings, you can keep a considerable amount of battery to charge your device. Very convenient.
Unfortunately, apart from the low battery indicator, there is no real way to check the battery level, so this is just a good practice (for almost all Your electronic products) to keep the battery fully charged.
