review – Denqir Mini Chainsaw is designed for pruning branches and small tree cutting, when the power of the pruning machine is not enough for the task. But it can cut wood around 3″-5″ in diameter, depending on the blade installed. With the two rechargeable batteries included in the kit, you can cut a lot of wood before recharging the batteries. I have another small electric chainsaw that I used to cut 12″ diameter trees, but the tool was overkill for 1″-3″ bush trees, small dead limbs and overgrowth. The Denqir Mini has proven to be very handy for important yard tasks that I now check as “done”.

Hardware Specifications

- Weight with 4″ chain installed and battery connected: 2 lbs 10 oz
- 2000 mAh 21 V Li-Ion rechargeable battery
- 550 watt output

Design and Features
- The safety button must be pressed with the thumb for the trigger to activate the chain rotation. The button can be released during cutting.
- The plastic chain guard protects the user when they “kick back” while cutting.
- The chain guard is hinged to allow the chain to pass through the wood being cut. The guard can swing over 90 degrees so a full cut can be made without the resistance of the guard.
- The saw is comfortable to use with one hand.
- The handle is rubberized for a comfortable and secure grip.
- There is a small LED light designed to provide some light when cutting at night.

installation and setup
With the 4″ chain installed, I just have to charge two batteries, read the manual, and then I can chop wood.
test and observe
Battery
The battery is lighter than some of my other 20 V tools, but I checked the battery voltage after each tool was fully charged. They are at or slightly above the claimed 21 volts. I made about 25 cuts in 90 minutes with a battery that wasn’t fully drained.
chain sharpness
The largest cut I made was a 4″ diameter trunk from a holly-type shrub that I cut down earlier. These shrubs have deadly needle-pointed leaves that refuse to die. Builders in my area use them probably because they are cheap and permanent. If you look at this bush, it will stab your leg. The time it takes to lower this trunk to the ground is equivalent to the performance of my large chainsaw on a similar sized shrub trunk. It’s hard not to let out a wicked laugh when I lay the trunk of this plant flat on the ground. It will come back, but now I have a quick and convenient Denqir Mini.
put up
Parts and parts are tight and work well. The light blue plastic gives the impression of a “toy”. Maybe it’s a color issue, but the plastic doesn’t feel super durable about it, as if it might not be able to take a huge shock. Makita uses similar colors, but their blues are not as bright. I think it can be dropped from ladder height into a mulch or yard, but I’d rather not put the Denqir Mini on the sidewalk.
The included tool is not high quality, but sufficient for chain and rail replacement and tightening. The goggles have retractable earpieces, but are still too short to fit on my normal ears on my normal head. Kids may enjoy playing with these goggles. Allow yourself to really protect your eyes.
The gloves in the kit are synthetic knitted gloves and will not guarantee hand safety if the blade comes into contact with the hand. When I operate the saw, I discard the knitted gloves and use good quality leather work gloves.
A white LED light may be a better indicator of battery level than a nocturnal limb cutting aid.For cutting in the dark I recommend bright headlights such as ThruNite TH30 Headlamp I recently reviewed.

what do I like
- Excellent portability and easy handling
- Makita battery compatibility
- saw clean
- Tools included in the kit make all necessary adjustments

I’m not sure how to interpret many directions.
what would i change
- The included gloves are not safety gloves and can/should be omitted from the kit.
- Plastic doesn’t have the “feel” of high quality, durable.
- Goggles should be adult size.
- The manual needs to be edited to ensure correct English, larger fonts, and clearer graphics and markings.
final thoughts
Denqir mini chainsaws are cheaper than cordless chainsaws at my local national chain hardware store. It’s perfect for my yard cleanup chores that require a larger tool than our manual pruning shears.
