The Lypertek PurePlay Z3 and TEVI earbuds are well-received by users and reviewers.
Lypertek has now launched their successor, an upgrade so big that it skips the Z4 and goes straight to the Lypertek PurePlay Z5 (although the PurePlay Z3 2.0 can be classified as 4th Model).
The biggest upgrade is the inclusion of Active Noise Cancellation, which significantly reduces the amount of audible external noise for distraction-free listening. The brand doesn’t make any claims about ANC performance, so we’ll have to wait and see how they fare during my review.
The new earbuds also have a new design and now have a stem, which may help improve ANC performance in the external mic position.
Due to the ANC, battery performance dropped slightly, from 10 hours to 7 hours, but compared to regular ANC earbuds, that’s significantly better than average.
