Review – If you’re working from home now, or even if you’ve been working from home, you’re almost certain that you’ve already participated in meetings through Zoom Google Meet or the Microsoft Teams video app. If you rely on the built-in camera on your laptop, you may be dissatisfied with the way you appear on the screen. why is that? Most laptop cameras used for video have a resolution of 720 dpi-the same as low resolution. Think of a digital photo from about the early 2000s, and you get this photo (pun intended). If the image quality presented in the meeting does not meet your standards, there is a simple solution: Movo WebMic HD Pro webcam.
What is it?
Movo WebMic HD Pro webcam is a combination of several products into an easy-to-use webcam. It includes a condenser microphone, high-definition webcam, and LED ring light to provide high-quality images for meetings, online teaching, or video blogs.
Movo WebMic looks like a microphone from the old radio era. Its stand/handle looks cool and easy to carry. If you don’t want a stand, you can install a stand for placement on the top edge of the monitor.
The lens is 1080p HD. This will capture high-resolution video, providing details that you and those watching on the screen can notice. You simply cannot get it at 720p resolution. If this does not improve your appearance, WebMic is also equipped with an LED ring light, which can reduce or eliminate strange shadows and provide uniform lighting to your face. Design and features
Let’s face it (understand?), you want to look your best in a work meeting. If you are visually challenged like me, I can only do a lot to improve my image, and the Movo WebMic HD Pro webcam can help me look better.
Setting up WebMic couldn’t be easier. For my MacBook Pro, all I have to do is connect WebMic to the MacBook Pro. That’s it-all power is provided via a USB cable. My company prefers to use Zoom for meetings instead of Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. After connecting to WebMic, Zoom immediately recognizes the connection and I can select it for audio and video.
WebMic can be used on a stand or sitting on a monitor with the included adjustable stand. When installed on a stand, the camera will not tilt, but can only be adjusted up and down.
The supplied base can only be attached to the top edge of the monitor. It cannot be adjusted when mounted on the side. My work monitor is a circular graphics monitor, I can draw on it, so it is much thicker than the laptop screen. This makes the attachment using the mount awkward and unstable. It is not easy to adjust the angle or lighting without causing the cam to loosen. It depends on your monitor settings.
The camera is wide-angle, which means you can see more of the background around me than a poor low-resolution MacBook Pro camera. This helps me want to keep my home office clean.
My home office has plenty of outdoor lighting, so I don’t have need LED ring light. However, when the outside is not so bright, it can help early and late meetings. In addition, the camera can capture enough light on its own without the help of a ring light. So this is a win-win situation.
The brightness of the lighting can be adjusted by pressing the button on the back of WebMic. There is also a button for taking a snapshot of the image.I have no idea
Please note that the ring light can reflect two circles of light on a person wearing glasses.
The microphone quality is very suitable for Zoom meetings. My colleague understands what I mean easily, and my voice is closer and clearer than the miniature microphone of the laptop. Includes microphone gain control, allowing you to adjust the microphone’s audio pitch/volume according to your preferences. There is no decibel number on the knob, so set whether to hit or not until you are satisfied. Pressing the gain switch will mute/unmute the microphone. However, it is easier to mute/unmute using conference software, because pressing the knob will hit the camera, which will cause the image to shake.
WebMic has a 3.5 mm headphone jack to protect audio privacy. However, I prefer to listen with stereo desktop speakers.

Final thoughts
If your laptop or iPad is not equipped with a 1080p camera, the Movo WebMic HD Pro webcam is essential. In addition, it can be placed off-center or higher than the laptop camera for a more direct view of the line of sight. Although the video quality is not 4k, WebMic HD Pro is very suitable for online work meetings or video gatherings when you want to stay in top condition.
