TV5 partners with Meta for first Messenger poll for Sing Galing finals


The collaboration highlights the seamless integration of broadcast and social platforms, allowing viewers to not only watch entertainment content, but also engage in it.

Cignal’s broadcast network TV5 has partnered with Meta to launch the Philippines’ first broadcast innovation through its show Sing Galing. Through the partnership, Sing Galing fans can vote for their favorite finalists through a free voting experience on Messenger, highlighting the seamless integration of broadcast and social platforms, allowing viewers to watch entertainment content and be a part of it.

The Messenger voting platform was first successfully implemented on March 5 last year at Sing Galing: Sing-lebrity Edition Ultimate Pa-SING-katan (Grand Final), where thousands of Ka-awitbahays (Sing Galing viewers) voted for free and “Coverboy” Crushie” Patrick Quiroz was the Ultimate BidaOke Sing-lebrity with 67% of the total votes.

Once again, during the upcoming Sing Galing Kantastic Finale on March 12, fans can vote for their favorite artist by entering VOTE as a comment on Sing Galing’s Facebook page or via Messenger. Clicking “Go” will display a photo carousel of vote-eligible behaviors. They can scroll through the carousel, choose their favorite show, and click to vote. Each Facebook profile will receive one vote.
