Reading an article by our own Thomas LaDuke earlier, I couldn’t help being shocked by his views on the fleeing Texas Democrats and their original photo taken on the plane.
(read: About that chartered plane full of Texas Democrats ran to Washington, D.C. in fear)
I want to pay special attention to this paragraph:
Do we all agree that if you have enough wallet machines and get a comfortable stay while visiting one of the most expensive cities in the world, can you drink a higher quality beer than Miller Lite?
Raduk is referring to this photo. All Democrats are on a bus heading to the airport. A box of Miller lights is conveniently placed in the camera lens.
Smiling House Democrats took a case of Miller Lite flying to Washington, D.C. on a private jet, breaking the House of Representatives quorum and abandoning their voters while the Senate was still in operation. I hope the Democrats in the Senate will report tomorrow to do what they were elected to do.We will vote #SB1. #txlege pic.twitter.com/5Kcc4emNFg

Michigan people have a point of view, but as a Texan, I want to build on this and make it clear that this is not just the quality of the beer, but the choice of the brand.
I don’t think I need to tell you that we Texans are very proud people. We hang the pride of our country on our sleeves, so much so that some of us say that our nationality is “Texas.” When we joked about leaving the Union, we were either half joking or not joking at all.
The pride of our state also includes things that originate in the state, including alcohol and beer. It is not uncommon to find Lone Star or Shiner at parties here or in bars. Shiner offers so many different seasonal flavors that the return of Ruby Red is a celebration.
This is not to say that pale beer is not common in Texas, but when it is consumed, nine out of ten are Bud Light. The last time I saw anyone in my state actively ordering Miller Light was when it was on sale and the pitchers were provided by a group of people on the driving range.
In summary, if you want to appear as a politician of the people of Texas, you will not reach out for a box of Miller Light. You will get a box of Shiner or Lone Star. This is exactly what Ted Cruz did when he competed with Beto O’Rourke for a seat.

But the Democrats bought Miller Wright and decided to show this. This is a strange choice, and even people who do not drink Shiner or Lone Star may be confused as to why the representatives of Texas would proudly display Wisconsin beer as their party drink of choice.
I have made it clear that these Texas Democrats don’t care about voting rights. Many of the things they do are just performance art funded by taxpayers.
(read: AWOL Texas Dems are not rebels, they are bad actors in a bad script)
The choice of this beer is the first clue that these Democrats are not trying to truly represent the people of Texas. This is entirely an act, and because they don’t know what it means to be a member of the people. Instead of reaching for Texas beer, they reached for the beer they thought we were drinking.
“Farmers must have drunk this swill, so we will buy it for display. They will definitely believe that our cause is just because we are one of them!” They must have thought of it.
I’m not sure how many of them actually plan to drink beer (if any), but even if they do, the beer they choose to display feels even more false due to the brand they choose. They can’t even cater to their electoral district.
This is because they do not understand their electoral district. Remember, what they are fighting for is not even for Texas, but against it. They have made it clear that they want to promote “action for the people,” which will give the federal government the power to decide how Texas conducts its own elections. They are not working for us, but for the Democratic Party. period. End of the story.
Therefore, it does not surprise me that the Texas Democrats decided that their “people” props are props that Texans actively call flavored water or worse. They are not one of us, they don’t listen to us, and they certainly won’t be as proud as the Texans.
