review – For some time now, I’ve been writing my DIY Working in my new home and my DIY skills.I also reiterate that I fully believe that the final product and results depend directly on having the correct tool for work. Not only is having the right tool as a wireless tool a great advantage in many cases, but it’s often the tool of choice if its performance is good enough to manage tasks similar to what a wired tool can master. Let’s see what this Greenworks Cordless 24V 7-1/4″ Circular Saw can do.

Made of plastic, rubber and metal, this circular saw includes an Allen key and safety release trigger for changing the blade bevel adjustment knob. Batteries, battery chargers and parallel guides are also included.
Performance
The first thing I do is fully charge the battery, which is standard with any wireless device. This saw has 2 blades for cutting wood. One has 24 teeth and the other has 40 teeth. They all chop wood, except the one with 40 teeth that chops more cleanly. More teeth = cleaner cut with fewer or no jagged edges. An Allen key for installing or removing the blade is supplied with the saw and inserted into the handle.
There is a spindle lock button behind the handle that locks the saw wheel so you can turn the Allen key.
Once the blade is installed, the next step is to test it. I only use it outdoors so I don’t need/want to put a vacuum on it. It cuts wood well. I’ve tried several thicknesses and several different types of wood and it works great. I also love the light that helps my aging eyes see where I’m cutting. I have another DIY project coming up and this saw will be invaluable for the job. Overall, it performed well. The battery seems to last a while. I’m going to buy another battery so I have at least two, which I think is the norm for the course.

final thoughts
While power corded tools provide more power in most cases, cordless tools have gotten better with each model and version, and in most cases have proven to be adequate for what was previously specified for corded tools Work. The Greenworks Cordless 24V 7-1/4” Circular Saw is no exception. And, being a fan of cordless tools, it goes well with the rest of the tools in my studio. It cuts well and works great for every job I’ve tested Both have plenty of power. Obviously when using these tools for extended periods of time and making multiple cuts, it’s always necessary to have a couple of rechargeable batteries. IMHO, I’ve done a great job with this circular saw!
