review – I’ve reviewed several power stations in the past and I still have them. The problem is that you most often need power in multiple places during a power outage, so it’s nice to have multiple places. The ISSOMI Power Station review offer came up, so I decided to give it a try.I want something more portable than my large OKMO 1000W Portable Power Stationand more weather resistant than mine SNUGMAX Vickers 200 Portable Power Station.

Design and Features

When it comes to power stations, portability is inversely proportional to weight. You can have a lot of power, but you also have to take the weight of the battery.

Larger power stations often also have cooling fans, making it harder to get water and dust out. When you don’t need the 120V output, larger power stations tend to be redundant for your smaller device charging needs.

The ISSOMI Power Station is very portable, weighing only 8.4 lbs (3.8 kg). The integrated handle is easy to carry and folds flush with the device when not in use. No vents to collect dust or allow water ingress (IP63 rating).

There is a wireless charging pad on top of the device. When using the wireless charging pad, the front LCD panel displays the wireless charging icon, so you don’t need to look at your phone to see if it’s working. There are also three control buttons on the top of the unit; LED on/off/brightness, AC on/off and power on. You don’t need to open your device to use the wireless charging pad; just place your device on it and the ISSOMI power station will start automatically.

There is an LCD on the front of the device with indicator lights for the following items:
+ battery percentage reading
+ power consumption in watts
+ remaining time (hours and minutes)
+ wireless charging in use
+ LEDs in use
+ Type-C output in use
+ AC 110v/220v in use
+ USB-A in use (1 and 2)
+ QC 3.0 in use
+12v DC in use
+ Various protection icons

The unit also has a built-in battery management system that will automatically cut power to protect the device from over temperature, over voltage, over current, low voltage and short circuits. The protection includes inverter power over-temperature protection.

The unit can be charged in four ways:

1. From AC adapter
2. Charging from the car
3. From solar panels (not included)
4. Charger from alternator

There are silicone covers on the ports to protect them from water and dust. However, I did find them a bit challenging to open without some form of tool. Maybe if you have long nails it will be easier to open. However, I prefer this way over loose.

The power station automatically shuts down when not in use. The built-in LED light has three brightness levels. It does get very bright, and if you’re really close, you don’t want to look directly at it. The LED also rotates down 90 degrees to provide a lovely light on the tabletop.

what do I like

  • wireless charging pad
  • handle
  • The LCD panel has battery level, power consumption in watts, and time remaining readouts.
  • Class 3 LED lights
  • Dust/water/shock IP63 rating
  • Handle folds flat

what would i change

  • The port cover can be a little difficult to open

final thoughts

The ISSOMI power station can charge seven devices simultaneously. It is IP63 waterproof, portable and suitable for outdoor use. ISSOMI power stations are easy to carry and operate. This is my powerhouse for a picnic, to the beach, or anywhere I don’t want to worry about power needs!
